Courtney Courtney Courtney!!

Holy Cow,

I saw this post was a draft, something I thought was published a LOOONG time ago...seeing as these pictures were from 2011!!! Couldn't keep from sharing! This girl is beautiful! Can't wait to see her dancing again, as soon as she gets back from the mission she is leaving on in a few months! Love her!

Fall, 2011.

Courtney McOmber is back on the blog!! She's had 3 days of different ballroom competitions that she's needed her hair done for, so we've done three different, AWESOME styles! She is an ALL STAR dancer, keeps taking 1st and 2nd places in all her divisions, I'm so proud of her! Here's some hair :)

Day 1: Low knot bun, one sweeping bang wave with rhinestones.

Day 2: High bun, similar to last year's nationals 'do here. Except Courtney has suddenly sprouted like, 4 more inches of hair that we had to work with. Love it!

Day 3: I forgot my camera. Blah I hate when I do that! It was a high bun, more simple, swirl of rhinestones. I'll update this and add pics later if I can.

{Bride} Stacie-Wedding

Stacie is my cousin and is SO beautiful inside and out! I love her new husband Reyes and couldn't be happier for them. They got engaged and waited a whole YEAR to get married so they could be sealed in the temple. So proud of them! They had a countdown chain that the made that seemed forever long. How wonderful when they broke the last link on the day of their wedding last summer! This is one of my favorite hairstyles I have EVER done. Inspired by a picture Stace found online.

Fun.

I felt like doing a random post today, so here it is!

My friend Jen Olsen.

She is a great friend. She lets me do whatever I want to her hair whenever I want, just because I'm in the mood to try something. Even at 10pm!! Isn't that nice?

Signature Brides Shoot

I know this is wayyyy overdue. I have lots of pics from last summer that are way wayyy wayyyyyy overdue. Oh well :)

In October Signature Brides did a photo shoot. We invited a few models and did a few different looks and had AlixAnn Loosle (AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER) take some pics up Provo Canyon!! I invited 3 girls I know, McCall Modersitzki, Kayla Adair, and Courtney McOmber to come be models and we had a couple other girls as well! I'm only posting these three because they are the three I know :) You can find the rest of the pictures on the Signature Brides Blog!

McCall had her hair done in a faux-bob by Stephanie and Shelby and makeup by Nicole. They were going for the Marilyn Monroe, blonde bombshell look with her and she pulled it of AMAZINGLY.

Kayla was going to have her hair done into kind of an earthy, long, side messy fishtail, but I didn't know she cut her long red hair just days before!! So Shelby improvised and did a fun, spunky 'do that fit perfectly with Kayla's bubbly personality.

For the shoot I was wanting to do some sort of funky mowhawk, completely not something you'd see on any Utah bride, but I wanted it to be more Italian Vogue, odd etc... Court was all mine to make over into a funk bride! It turned out NOTHING like I was imagining, I had like 4 things I pictured, but you know what? I think it looks pretty awesome and crazy. Court was such a good sport and looked AMAZING. Since she was my own model I took lots of my own pictures:

40's fingerwaves, pincurls, red lipstick

I had a blast with these two while their parents were vacationing in Lake Powell!! Their last shoot I posted here and here. This was my first attempt at fingerwaves on someone and I think it turned out pretty good!! Still got work to do, but this was fun! I like fingerwaves that are a little softer and looser, but I really wanted to give that gelled sleek look a try! Love you Lexi and Paris :)
PS I shot and edited the pics.
